2 Month Update, 4th of July, and Some Visitors

And here we are 3 weeks late with Reagan's 2 month update, but better late than never right?

Reagan is officially a chunky monkey. She is now in the 70th percentile for weight, just shy of 12 lbs and in the 33 percentile for height at 22 inches.

She's meeting all of her marks for development, following us with her eyes and cooing, eating every 2-3 hours and stretching her sleep to 3-4 hours a night. Actually, now that she is almost 3 months, she's stretched sleeping out to 4-5 hours a night and even had one night with 7 straight hours. Hallelujah, praise the Lord!

She's also giving us the sweetest smiles every now and then, which means we spend most of our time acting silly trying to make her smile.

We finally decided that we couldn't wait any longer to have Reagan meet her grandma's and Aunt Beth so we had them up to visit last week, and it was so great to see them. Amelia was chattering away and bouncing with giddiness - poor thing has been missing her social interaction!

We also celebrated the 4th of July by spending a few days at Chris's parents house eating lots of yummy summer foods like sweet corn, bacon, watermelon, homemade banana ice cream. You may not consider bacon a summer food, but BLT falls into the summer foods category in my mind.

The summer is now winding down and we're slowly pivoting towards back to school mode. My maternity leave is officially over as of today and I'm filling up my August calendar with all things orientation, first day, and meet the teacher. Amelia is so ready to start kindergarten! And I'm pumped to teach my first online class. Back to school won't look exactly like anyone thought it would, but hopefully it will bring some sense of normalcy to us to get into some sort of routine again.
