Reagan Isabelle Nation was born on Monday, April 20th at 3:47pm. She was 6 lb .8 oz and 18 inches long.
After some initial crying from the shock of entering the world, baby girl was very calm and sweet for the remainder of our hospital stay. The nurses had to use the nose/mouth sucky tool fairly aggressively on her when she first came out which caused her nose to be a little swollen for the first 48 hours of her life. This caused a very adorable Peppa Pig snort come from her quite frequently. Thankfully the swelling subsided and she is breathing perfectly clear now.
Reagan is an eater, a sleeper, and a pooper. But that's what babies are supposed to do, right?! She happily takes any form of milk she's given - both nursing and bottle feeding. She also loves her paci which makes life so much easier. She sleeps in the bassinet in the pack n play and wakes every 2-3 hours to eat.
She is not a huge fan of baths or diaper changes, but all other times she is a great baby who doesn't cry much at all. She loves her big sister already. Amelia asks to hold her every day and feed her a bottle. They are so sweet together! Amelia likes to hold her in the glider and have sister chats.
Chris and I feel like the luckiest parents in the world. Despite being born during a global pandemic (craziness!), Reagan has brought us so much joy and happiness.
