Boy oh boy, are you a handful these days! Even though you aren't technically crawling or walking, you still manage to move all over the place. You roll your way around and then bring yourself up to sitting and then get back down on your belly and roll some more!
We have to keep a very close eye on you because you are obsessed with putting anything and everything in your mouth these days. Including your crib - we now have lovely teeth marks on the rail, thank you very much!
Speaking of the crib, you pulled up from sitting to standing on your crib rail! It was mixed emotions for me because I was proud of you for pulling up, but you don't need to be trying to crawl out of your crib, little missy!
Also speaking of your crib, we are in the transitioning phase of making you sleep in your crib. And you HATE it. Once you fall asleep, you are fine, but boy do you fight it with many tears and screaming.
As far as eating, you are doing great! In addition to your cereal and many kinds of baby food, we've started giving you more and more tastes of "big girl" food like bread and fruit and macaroni and cheese. You love mac n cheese!
You and Lucy are starting to interact more and more. You go straight for her tail every time, and Lucy is so sweet to just let you pull and yank on her. However, you did yank her ear a little too hard one day and made her hide from you for a little while -- remember, be gentle Amelia!
You've started clapping your hands and reaching your arms up when you want to be picked up. You love being tickled and playing pat-a-cake. You love being outside and always try to touch Mommy's flowers on the porch, and you love playing with your pumpkin (yay!).
You're still a little bitty thing, weighing only 15.8 lbs, which is in the 6th percentile and you are 26.5 inches long, which is in the 18th percentile. You are our petite and strong little lady!
You have 4 teeth completely grown in and two more on their way. You have not acted like your teeth have bothered you very much, besides the fact that you chew on everything in your path.
You are so close to crawling, but for now you just rock back and forth and push yourself backwards with your arms.
It's so hard to believe that we have had you for 9 months. I don't know what we ever did with our time before you arrived.
You keep us busy and we love every minute of it!
