Lucy's New Accessory

Our sweet little Lucy girl had surgery on Monday to remove a growth on her cheek and to have her teeth cleaned. I was a nervous wreck all day, but I am so glad to report that everything went fine and she is recovering quite well. She's a little trooper, that one.

For the next 10 days, Lucy gets to sport this beautiful accessory around her neck to keep her from scratching at the stitches on her cheek. It is sight to see.

This cone is huge! She is really having a tough time maneuvering around the house these days. When she walks down the hallway and the cone brushes up against the wall, she will just stop walking and stand there until someone straightens her out. She is not enjoying this cone business whatsoever. But me and Chris are getting a big kick out of it! I hope this doesn't mean that we are going to be those parents that get joy out of humiliating our children. Ha!
